Dr. Joseph Kilman, DMD
As a dentist, I am honored to help people in need and to do it gently. Today’s advanced care options mean patients can have a truly comfortable experience, feeling relaxed and secure throughout the procedure. My team and I strive to alleviate each person’s anxiety, always listening to their concerns and working with them rather than dictating what we’re going to do.
I always wanted to be a dentist. As a child, I loved science, working with my hands, and building things, especially models of the human body. I worked my way through college and was a Financial Consultant and Stockbroker for eight years before deciding that I need to pursue my childhood dream. I re-enrolled, completed the prerequisite courses, and was blessed to be accepted to dental school. It was the smartest decision I’ve ever made!
I love my patients and respect who they are on an individual basis. Each person brings unique experiences, passions, and dreams to our office. I thrive on our conversations and what I learn from patients; I think my patients make me a better dentist and a better person. I look forward to coming to the office each morning, knowing my day will be filled with fascinating exchanges as I help each patient achieve a healthier and happier smile.
Right now is, I think, the best time to be practicing dentistry. Incredible advancements in technique, materials, and technology all mean better experiences and results for patients. I want those in my care to look forward to visits and to have beautifully healthy, confident smiles, so I take many continuing education courses.
I’m a member of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry and am working on my Fellowship with them. Additionally, I take courses locally, regionally, and nationally, learning from leading researchers and practitioners in oral healthcare.
I am a fourth generation native of this area. A blessed man, I married my high school crush, Anita. We have three awesome kids and built our dream home on the river here in New Smyrna Beach.
Outside the office, I love spending time offshore fishing and like pretty much anything to do with the ocean.
Anita and I share a passion for helping others. She donates a lot of time and effort to feed the homeless in our area and I offer free dental care to those in need through the Southern Baptist Mobile Dental Unit.
This community has supported my family and me so well and I love giving back. A lot of medical professionals travel overseas to help those in need, which is awesome, but I prefer to help people locally. I truly think that’s my calling.
Dr. Bill D'Aiuto, DDS
Dr. D’Aiuto graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1981 and moved to Fort Meyers that same year. After a brief associateship, he realized the growth potential in the Orlando area and started his own private practice in 1982 in Longwood Florida. His previous private practice emphasized restorative and cosmetic dentistry, which he will bring to our practice at Kilman Dental.
Dr. D’Aiuto has contributed to the growth and leadership of dentistry as a health care professional throughout his career with long involvements. Dr. D’Aiuto has received some of dentistry’s highest honors for his contributions including Dentist of the Year by the Florida Dental Associations and the Young Dentist Leadership Award from the American Dental Association. Dr. D’Aiuto has served as President of the Florida Dental Association and President of the Florida Dental Health Foundation.
Dr. D’Aiuto is a fellow of the American College of Dentistry, as well as the International College of Dentists, and is a graduate of the esteemed L.D. Pankey Institute for Graduate Dental Studies.
Dr. D’Aiuto moved to New Smyrna Beach Florida four years ago and enjoys boating and fishing. He has two children and four grandchildren.
Dr. Renata Santeli, DMD
Dr. Santeli is a native of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She moved to Miami in 1995, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida International University. She went on to earn her doctor of dental medicine degree at NOVA Southeastern University, graduating in 2016. As an active member of the American Dental Association and a state of Florida board-certified dentist, Dr. Santeli continually works to stay up to date on the latest advancements in the field. She has received advanced training from the renowned Dr. Igor Costa Alves, who is largely considered to be the leading facial treatment expert in the world. Dr. Santeli studied with him in Brazil so she can now provide his world-class cosmetic care right here in Daytona Beach.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Dr. Santeli is happy to communicate with patients in any of these languages, so please don’t hesitate to let her know if you prefer to discuss your oral health care plan in a different language. Outside of work, Dr. Santeli loves spending time with her husband and son. She enjoys fashion, especially shoes, and she often wears fun and interesting shoes around the dental office.
